Salesforce Is Moving Its Marketing Cloud To Microsoft Azure

The leading customer relationship management (CRM) service provider, Salesforce on Wednesday, 13th November '19 announced its business partnership with Microsoft. They plan to leverage certain Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Teams services to its customers in this new collaboration. As per the agreement, Salesforce will now be using the infrastructure of Microsoft Azure. Additionally, Salesforce is planning to build connectors to link Team chat and other collaboration services with the existing Salesforce sales and service cloud.

This movement of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to azure is sure to unlock new growth opportunities for its customers. With the collaboration services, customers will take less time during on-boarding and will expand globally and quickly with Azure global footprint. As the customer demand scale is sure to go up, they are looking forward to local data security, privacy and compliance requirements.

How This Integration Will Boost Productivity?

Teamwork is practically the most important factor and the driving force in the workplace that people want to introduce in their workflow. In addition, employees also want to bring frequently used app in their collaborative workspace environment to increase productivity and ease of work. Sales and customer service is considered highly collaborative and team-centric, and companies actively use both Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Teams for its systematic flow.

As a part of this strategic partnership agreement between Salesforce and Microsoft, Salesforce will build new integrations for sales and service users with the increased ability to search, view and share Salesforce records directly within the Teams. This new integration will be available in the Salesforce service and sales cloud in late 2020

We can hopefully see more integrations of Salesforce in the future. For instance, both companies could add more connectors for the joint customers to import data from Marketing Cloud to Azure’s analytics services.

Let’s see how this collaboration unfolds and what awaits for the Salesforce users in the future.
