  • Props

It is important to make things easier for the employees to perform their jobs with ease in the shortest possible time, which improves their efficiency. For doing so provide them with appropriate props like technology, tools, resources, and reminders, which would give a huge boost to their work efficiency. Temporary fixes to their problems are not recommended at all.

  • Ideals

It is always a best practice to link a new change with already existing & accepted ideals of the people. By doing so, it would be much easier to motivate the employees to accept any change. Business leaders need to spread this message across to their employees via various mode of communication.

  • Leadership

For effectively implementing any change, business leaders need to set a new priority list, sanction the budget required, remove all barriers, and develop the desired model. These actions by the leadership send an affirmative message to the employees & display their commitment to the new initiative.

  • Learning

It is very important to impart appropriate training/skills to the employees which are relevant to their work responsibilities. This will get reflected in their work.

  • Ambiance

We usually get influenced by the ambiance around us. So it is always advisable to maintain a conducive ambiance around us especially with all stakeholders. Smart business leaders take all stakeholders on-board before taking any major decision. So it is better to make an appropriate strategy to align these stakeholder’s views with our decisions. Stakeholder management is also one of the key areas to focus on.

  • Rewards

Employees can be motivated with the help of rewards. Most of the big organizations motivate their employees by giving rewards in the form of gifts, incentives, free trips, etc. It is although very difficult to stop the status quo of distributing free gifts, prizes, etc. but a good leader will analyze its pros & cons and accordingly put an end to all unnecessary legacy systems including these freebies.

When all these pillars stand firmly together, which means if these are religiously followed then they act as a strong foundation for any organization.
